„Talk kommt von to talk, reden, und dasGanze ist also eine Rederei“, meinte Moderator Dietmar Schönherr, als er 1973 dem Studio- und Fernsehpublikum das Konzept der ersten deutschen Talkshow Je später der Abend vorstellte. Dem ist nach über 40 Jahren Talkshow-Geschichte im deutschsprachigen Raum eigentlich nicht mehr viel hinzuzufügen. Außer, dass bei Tanz, Talente, Temperamente natürlich alles ganz anders sein wird. Gäste und Publikum erwarten kluge Konversationen, spontane Spinnereien und intelligente Improvisationen – alles, was sich das Theaterpublikum im Anschluss an seine Vorstellungsbesuche an Abendunterhaltung verspricht. Und ab und an wird der Moderator höchstselbst in die Tasten greifen. Wie, klingt vertraut? Sie haben keine Ahnung. Aber schauen Sie doch einfach nach den Vorstellungen Später bei Peter in den Kavernen vorbei und überzeugen Sie sich selbst.

“They’re called talk shows because you talk in them: so that’s what we’re going to do,” is what Dietmar Schönherr told his studio and television audience to introduce them to the first ever German talk show Je später der Abend in 1973. It’s a definition that still holds true after more than forty years of talk shows in German-speaking countries. Except that in Tanz, Talente, Temperamente we will, of course, be doing everything differently. Both the guests and members of the audience can look forward to lively conversation, spontaneous wit and intelligent improvisations – everything a theatre audience could want in the form of post-performance entertainment.
